Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What appointment times and dates do you offer?
I currently offer either Tuesday (9am - 3pm), Tuesday evenings (6.15pm-9.00pm), Thursday (9am - 3pm) or Friday (9.00am- 3pm). Appointments outside of these hours upon request.
Q. How long does a session last?
During your first appointment I will perform a short medical and lifestyle consultation to understand more about you and what you are looking to achieve through your reflexology sessions and ensure there are no serious health concerns which should be addressed with a medical practitioner before proceeding. Therefore your first session will last approximately 75 minutes. Subsequent sessions are 50-60 minutes.
Q How will I feel afterwards?
This is very individual! A lot of people feel sleepy, relaxed, like they are floating and generally 'chilled'. I think the word 'balanced' really sums it up!
Q. Do I need to bring / wear anything specific?
No just yourself! I would suggest wearing loose fitting, shorter leg trousers/skirt as I will need access to your ankles and lower calves for some reflexes.
Q. How frequently should I have reflexology?
My belief is that some reflexology is better than no reflexology! However, regular sessions are advised and the frequency will depend on the concerns that you have. Ideally I suggest reflexology every 2 weeks to allow the body to start the process of self-healing - this can then be extended to monthly. I would take the opportunity to discuss with individual clients to bespoke a treatment plan.
Q. Is there any reason why I shouldn't have reflexology?
Reflexology truly is for EVERYONE! There are very few occasions whereby a treatment would be inadvisable. If you have athletes foot or a verruca we would perform hand reflexology instead which is also wonderfully effective. As I am not currently trained in specific maternity reflexology, I would choose not to treat in the first 3 months of pregnancy. However after this time and throughout a non-high risk, reflexology has massive benefits during pregnancy such as relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety.
Q. Are you mobile?
I have a lovely, relaxing treatment room in my garden in Bagshot and encourage clients to make use of this facility to enhance the experience. However, I understand that getting to me isn't that easy for all so will try to be as mobile as possible to visit you in the comfort of your own home. This is location dependant so please get and contact to discuss.
Q. Do you have a cancellation policy?
In the event of having to cancel or re-arrange your appointment, I do have a cancellation policy. If you are unable to make an appointment I kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice as this gives me the opportunity to offer this appointment to someone else. The full cost of the appointment will be charged in the event of less than 24 hours notice.
